Dental implants are prosthetic metal posts that are surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gums. The prosthesis provides a mounting surface for replacement teeth. Once in place, the implant serves as an anchor, allowing the dentist to mount replacement teeth onto them. The Dentist can then attach crowns, bridges, or dentures for a permanant application.
